Interphex | Jacob Javits Convention Center
Visit us at Interphex, booth #1459, April 20-22, 2010 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center, NYC. Come see our live in process demonstration of the Envirocam Vision Analysis System. We will be running live real time analysis of bubbles and analysis of microcarriers in a pharmaceutical microbiological environment. The EnviroCam Vision Analysis System is not only a highly reliable analytical instrument but it also provides feedback information to your process control system.
Fermentor Analysis | EnviroCam Vision System
The EnviroCam™ is an in situ (in-process) vision analysis system that allows remote observation, analysis of observed specie (i.e. bubbles, particulate, agglomerates, color change) recording and data analysis in real time of the physical changes occurring during a process. The EnviroCam has can be used as either an in process analytical instrument or as process control instrument. It has been successfully used in the pharmaceutical, petrochemical, bio-fuel and beverage and beer brewing industries. The EnviroCam Vision Analysis System can be inserted through an existing port in a fermentor, bioreactor or reaction vessel. The EnviroCam probe can be chemically sterilized or autoclaved to insure contamination free performance
in the process.
The EnviroCam can capture and archive still frames and/or videos streams for immediate or future data analysis. The image recognition and process control software utilizes the National Instruments LabView™ software platform. LabView™ is the most widely accepted platform for process control. The EnviroCam operating and analysis software is reliable and simple to use.
For bubble analysis, particulate analysis and agglomeration analysis the EnviroCam B Series would be the system of choice. The Envirocam B series utilizes an integrated LED backlighting system that is integral and hermetically sealed within the shroud. The backlighting enhances edge definition of the specie being analyzed which maximizes image resolution. The captured still frames and/or video of the bubbles and particulate passing through the notch of the shroud are digitally captured at rates of 10,000 per minute.
Using this system, bubbles sizes where measured as a function of various operating parameters (e.g., agitation rate, aeration rate) and as a function of media properties (e.g., viscosity, antifoam, and microbial/animal cell broths)This ability to view, analyze, verify and record in-process gives engineers, operators and scientists access to process variables that have never before been available. This capability provides new dimensions in protecting assets, reducing costs, increasing yields and achieving higher levels of performance. The EnviroCam operates in extremely harsh environments (high/low temperatures, corrosive atmospheres, liquids, vacuums, high pressures).
